Iran’s Strategic Role in New Regional Security Order Consolidated in 12-Day War: Cleric

Qom– Hojatoleslam Mohammad Nazari, interim Friday Imam of Salafchegan, said Iran’s strategic role in shaping the emerging security order of West Asia was firmly established during the recent 12-day confrontation with the Zionist regime.

Speaking to Hawzah News Agency on the occasion of Sacred Defense Week, Nazari contrasted “superficial” and “strategic” approaches to regional developments. He noted that while some limit success to missile counts or physical destruction, a deeper perspective reveals long-term shifts in power and legitimacy.

“The 12-day war created at least two major opportunities for Iran,” he said. “First, it consolidated the Islamic Republic’s strategic role in the new security order of the region, and second, it strengthened social capital and soft legitimacy for the resistance front.”
